A genetic disorder which affected my bone structure and lead to teasing throughout my school years, and societal expectations shaped my self-perception. I learned to hide, to blend in, to become invisible through never revealing the discomfort of always wearing long baggy clothing even throughoutsweltering heat. But this year, I dared to dream when i received a very unexpected phonecall congratulatingme on a photoshoot that would set my anxiety in turmoil. I stepped out of my comfort zone and embraced a challenge that pushed me to my limits. A challenge which was meant to be achieved in 5 years, presented itself to me at 45. I'm eternally grateful to Lotus Productions, especially Cristal and Lisa. They didn't just take photos; they captured my soul. They helped me embrace my imperfections and celebrate my unique beauty, a word that would trigger emotions in me when said as a compliment to me, as it never quite fit how I'd see myself.
