A Studio Tradition: Growing Families, Year After Year
At Twin Lotus Production, Christmas Mini Sessions are more than just photos — they’ve become a beloved studio tradition and a cherished part of our clients’ family memories.
Our Christmas Minis started back in 2018, with a simple backdrop and a small festive setup. In 2020, for the first time, we introduced three magical themed sets, transforming our daily newborn and family portrait studio into a festive wonderland. The sessions truly took off during COVID, as families wanted to capture meaningful moments together. By 2021 and 2022, we even had a snow machine, creating a full Christmas celebration for everyone.
Families Return Year After Year
One of the things I love most about Christmas Minis is seeing families grow. I’ve photographed newborns who are now older siblings, families expanding from one child to three, and children who return year after year with their cousins, grandparents, and even adult siblings. Some families even book back-to-back sessions to capture extended family memories.
These sessions have become part of family traditions, and it’s an honour to be included in such precious moments — capturing laughter, joy, and festive magic that will be treasured for years to come.
Planning Christmas Mini Sessions 2025
We start planning our Christmas Mini themes as early as March, not long after the previous holiday season, to ensure our sets are unique, fun, and memorable. Every year, we design three festive sets that children and families adore.
For 2025, our themes include:
🎅 Santa’s Garage – where the magic begins
🎄 The Entry Lounge – classic, warm, and perfect for family portraits
🛌 Santa’s Snuggle Lodge – dreamy, cosy, and ideal for the little ones
